Issues- Filed Legislation

The following are bills that I introduced and am primary sponsor on -

H 3388 - Election Reform - Requires that anyone who runs for any office in this state to provide conclusive proof that they are a citizen of the United States before they can be put on the ballot in South Carolina.

This is a proactive bill that should prevent the possiblity of an illegal alien actually making it onto a ballot and winning an election.

H 3389 - Election Reform - Requires that anyone who runs for President or Vice President of the United States to provide conclusive proof that they are a natural born citizen of the United States before they can be put on the ballot in South Carolina.

This is a proactive bill that should prevent anyone that is not constitutionally qualified in regards to citizenship from running for President or Vice President in this state.

H 3390 - Election Reform - Repeals the law that allows the Governor to appoint an "interim" United States Senator should one resign.

This change would eliminate the possiblity of corruption and/or deal making as we saw recently in Illinois.
