Issue - Filed Legislation

The following are bills that I signed onto this week as a co-sponsor:

H3245 – Pro Life – Expands waiting period before an abortion can be performed.

H3248 – Charities – Confirms that those entities who solicit donations through drop boxes are true charities.

H3265 – Veterinary Practices – Allows veterinarians to practice using their profession’s “accepted veterinary standards” when treating animals.

H3301 – Pay Day Lending – Restricts pay day lending by limiting the amounts and number of loans that a person can take.

Issue - Legislation in Progress

I am working on two election law bills that would require that candidates who run for political office in South Carolina must produce positive proof that they are citizens (natural born or naturalized) and residents where applicable. This would include those running for national office.
